When Dr. Wicker was only 6 years old, her father would always tell her she could do anything she set her mind to. At a very early age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Wicker called 303 Animal Clinic and asked for an interview. She was offered the job and has been here ever since. Dr. Wicker served as an Associate Veterinarian for her first five years before becoming a partner. Soon after, she purchased the clinic and became the animal hospital’s President.
Dr. Wicker is a member of various veterinary organizations and has served on the Texas Veterinary Medical Board of Ethics and Grievances. She’s very active in the community and has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board, the Grand Prairie Animal Control Board, the Grand Prairie United Charities Board, and many more! A small sampling of her personal awards includes:
- Woman of the Year recognition from the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce
- Heroes for Children Award from the Texas Education Agency
- 2014 Community Award for Outstanding Service
- 2019 Grand Prairie Citizen of the Year
At home, Dr. Wicker has two dogs: Kinsey, a miniature phantom poodle, and Gracie Lou, a stubborn miniature poodle.
